Why are there different colors?

The first thing you will notice when viewing the list of techniques is that some of the lessons are different colors.  This was done to show a grouping of techniques that can be practiced in sequence.

While it is important for students to focus on individual lessons and understand the the mechanics of how the technique works, it is also important for the student to understand how techniques fit together and develop a flow of movement.

As an example, the first two lessons are Sneaky Mount and Upa Escape.  One child would perform the Sneaky Mount and then the next child would perform the Upa Escape.

Many of the groupings are focused on one student moving ,and the other student being a good training partner to allow the transitions.  However, these are just suggestions and I encourage you, as the teacher, to create your own chains as you build the student’s understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
